(1) Vendor needs to provide GIS analyst services to the government authority located in Georgia.– Plans, develops, coordinates and modifies systems to create and maintain a comprehensive geographic and land information system for city departments and various local agencies.– Develops systems, networks and applications documentation, user–training materials and quality control procedures; prepares a variety of technical reports, correspondence, manuals, procedures and other written materials.– Makes presentations to representatives of other agencies regarding the GIS system; explains system hardware and software and ensures that applications, such as those for the emergency response system, are appropriate.– Monitors developments in the field of geographic system usage determines their potential effect upon the city system and recommends procedural and equipment changes to ensure system updating.– Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.– May operate land–surveying equipment to acquire GIS/land surveying information.– Plans and sequences processing steps for database creation, application, display and document production.– Acts as the liaison for the city and city GIS representatives.(2) This is not RFP; this is job posting.
