(1) Vendor needs to provide conservation reserve enhancement program (CREP) stream GIS layer update service to the government authority located in Olympia, WA.
- Find current Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) fish distribution layer attributes on most current NHD layer (on web, updated Nov 22)
- Select fish distribution segments documented or artificial -documented
- Select fish distribution segments for life history description anadromous
- Select species code segments for: Chum Salmon, Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Pink Salmon, Steelhead Trout.
- Insert Whitman County segments (should be built from NHD) from existing CREP layer and Hangman Creek from NHD
- Remove segments: public land (non-tribal), lakes, reservoirs, estuaries, cities, UGAs, DNR private timber.
- Clip to Conservation District (CD) boundary
- Sum miles
a. Above 10,000 miles? Evaluate for other removal categories
b. Below 10,000 miles? proceed
- Compare to existing CREP map;
a. Identify areas not captured by buffer
- Review entire layer for multi-thread segments, select thalweg, remove threads
- Review entire layer for dangles caused by clipping and erasing
- Review map products to districts showing old CREP and new CREP
- Revise based on input
- Finalize for conservation commission and farm services agency state technical advisory committee.
(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than February 22, 2023
