[A] Budget: Looking for Proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide inundation mapping service to enhance the understanding of flood risk during significant flood events by developing flood inundation maps using base topographic data and steady state hydraulic modelling, for United States Geological Survey (USGS) gage locations, structures and areas of interest, downstream of Morris Sheppard Dam and De Cordova Bend Dam. to the government authority located in East Waco, TX.
- Develop inundation flood map products, based on varying discharge rates, to facilitate communicating information to local entities to make informed decisions in preparations for potential impacts to infrastructure and planning decisions regarding actions such as potential road closures, evacuations, and mitigation efforts.
- 1) Collect supporting data for Hydrologic, Hydraulic, and Terrain Analyses building upon data in the previous study BRA Inundation Mapping and Reservoir Operations Project (August 2018).
2) Obtain Geographical Information System (GIS) shapefiles of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) floodway, 100-yr, 500-yr boundaries, and stream centreline.
3) Utilize Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data from Morris Sheppard Dam downstream to the headwaters of Lake Whitney. Use bathymetry for Lake Granbury from the 2015 Texas Water Development Board volumetric survey.
4) Update GIS base data of roads, water-bodies, lakes, creeks, airports, and any significant geographic areas, and;
5) Orthophoto images, and hydraulic model analysis utilizing the modelling completed for the BRA Inundation Mapping and Reservoir Operations Project (August 2018).
6) Determine each discharge point to be mapped and coordinate selection of points to be mapped. At selected mapping points accomplish the following: produce maps with water surface and depth profiles, include reservoir operations in the model development and revise hydraulic models to include reservoir discharge rates, and ensure major historical flooding events are captured.
7) Develop GIS inundation Shapefiles, Water Depth Grids, and other deliverables for the identified locations,
8) Develop hardcopy (.pdf) inundation maps along the mainstem of the Brazos River in the vicinity of the areas of interest.
9) Prepare appropriate reports documenting the study and methodologies and results
(2) All question must be submitted no later than November 15, 2019.

Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location.
