(1) Vendor needs to provide aerial digital survey service.– Digital aerial photography of the caribou located on the calving grounds of both the bluenose–east and caribou herds near the peak of calving.• Aircraft shall have back–up photography equipment readily available if equipment failure should occur.• Aircraft shall have and carry portable remote re–fueling kits for either jet fuel or aviation gas in remote locations.• Aircraft shall be capable of landing and re–fueling at remote gravel air–strips.• Aircraft shall have a backup data storage capacity for uninterrupted photography for at least 5,000 photos per flight without landing.• Aircraft shall arrive on site with a minimum of 40 hours flying ability before next maintenance inspection is required.• Progressive maintenance must be carried out during flight crew rest periods, where possible.• The aircraft will be considered unserviceable when it is requested to do a flight and it is not available, with the exception due to weather conditions.• The responsibility and expenses for transportation of a disabled aircraft out of the field area shall rest with the air operator.
