Vendor needs to provide GIS, geospatial and web mapping projects service to the government authority located in British Columbia.- Fine tuning, updating and maintenance of current web mapping interface and information.- Increasing geographic area of interest by merging multiple datasets by way of conflation.- Addition of terrain classification data or information associated with identified structures, locations and features of interest.- Addition of hazard classification data or information associated with identified structures, locations, and features of interest.- Spatial analysis of new and existing data to identify areas of risk as defined by the provincial representative.- Incorporation of new attribute information into web mapping interface, including provision of summary tables, graphs and supporting on screen inquiries.- Spatial analyses of various other attribute combinations.- Other analysis, interface training, maintenance and GIS support of other projects as required.- Merged Road network datasets. Multiple datasets require merging as geographic area is expanded. (Industry standard spatial formats) (datasets include DRA, BCTS, FTEN). Merging requires extraction of attribute information from the best source. This requires prioritization and logic algorithms.- Determination of routes to specified locations and features of interest (bridges, reserves, recreation sites etc.) by way of automated techniques.1. Open-source web map development:- Use with other web base applications (ex: third party data layers).- Vector tile generation, display and reporting.- Web map development with modern web technologies.- Reporting of data analysis through D3 info graphics or equivalent.2. Terrain modelling:- Digital elevation model, processing.- Generation of terrain, constraints for vehicle routing, and reporting.- Advanced raster based hydrological modelling, analysis and reporting.3. Road network modeling point to point analysis:- Routing analysis or optimization and reporting.- Data conflation of multiple layers.- Report generation through advanced spatial queries.- Advanced spatial SQL in PostGIS database.
